Hihi, everyone! š¤ As promised, I have a lil extra post for you all. š„°
The Golden Road by L. M. Montgomery
5āØ!
Guys. I found yet another favorite. ššš LMM will always be my favoritest author ever. š„°
The Golden Road is the continuation of the story from the book The Story Girl, the adventures of Sara Stanley, the Story Girl (I was, thanks to my friend JP, nicknamed after her, and am eternally grateful for an excuse to use it. šš„°) , and her cousins and friends. Set in late 1800s PEI Canada, written in her usual style, it feels so much like Montgomeryās other booksābut the end especially struck me as so special, writing and story wise, and so beautiful. š„¹š„° I probably enjoyed this one just a little bit more than the first. šš¤

ā¦annnd, pretty much everybody. š¤
Content warnings: Nothing much! Mentions of death, alluding to a certain character dying sometime soon. There is a woman who everyone assumes is a witch, and though she never confirms this, she also never denies it. The most romance is mild to moderate kissing. I believe thatās all, but if I did miss something (I read the beginning of the book several months before the rest, so Iām a bit foggy) it was very minor. šš¤
Age range: Parentās judgement, of course, but I would guess about six and up content wise, unless they are particularly sensitive to death, and eleven and up for reading level. šāØ
Thatās all for the review! āŗļø Thanks so much for reading. š Have any of you read this one? Iād love to hear your thoughts! š¤
One little P.S. though. š¤ I just wanted to say that the blog is having a few technical difficulties right now, so apologies for that. šš Iād encourage you to only read through desktop, though I assume most of you do, as the mobile version of the sight isā¦.extremely challenging at the moment. šš Again, sorry about that, and thanks or bearing with me! š¤š

What's your favorite L.M. Montgomery book? I'll have to read these two, as I enjoyed the Anne of Green Gables books (which I need to read/listen to again). - Aunt Debbie
